I seen this beauty in auction and could not resist! It’s now in transit to the yard in Japan. Will have extra photos next week if not sold by then. Should be landing in Canada in late February or early March.

1997 WRX wagon Version 3 STI V Limited 555
119,980 original kilometers
EJ20K turbo
5 speed manual transmission
All wheel drive
Full power options and AC
Aftermarket – Nothing major. Just an exhaust, steering wheel, turbo timer, and Recaro drivers seat ( has a rip in it ).

Body is in good shape overall besides some small scratches here and there. The 53C blue is notorious for it’s awful fade and clear coat peel. This one is not effected.

Mechanical all checked out with no issues that we could see. Has already had the first major servicing done to it. Tires are getting down there in tread though.

Total Landed Cost: $6900.00

Price is based on you picking it up in Vancouver, BC. If you can get it then that's all you pay. Can ship wherever at buyers expense.

Saw this and really wanted it lol, however when I got it translated it said "Front cross member deformed and core support deformed" also it's a 1997/4 I was told. Good deal though.

Don't always go by what an auction sheet says Will have detailed pics next week for anyone interested.

well if by the sheet it says the hood was replaced. so maybe a front end collision that was fixed up? who knows. interested in detailed pictures. may unload my sedan for this wagon.

According to the auction sheet, here's a translation of the comments section:

Scratch on the steering wheel
Scratches on the wheels and door mirrors
Rock chip on the windshield
Various interior wear and tear
Aftermarket seat is torn
Headliner has a stain or is dirty
Dent on the font cross member
Rad support had a dent
Exhaust has been modified
Momo steering wheel
Dent on the exhaust
Hood repainted or replaced
Touch up paint on the body

According to an auction inspector, the dents on the undercarriage are not major or structural. Likely why it didn’t get a R or A grade I guess. Blessthekellen, send you your email and next week I will send you detailed photos of all and any flaws on the car as well as all the other normal photos you would want to see.

For the manufacture date, chassis number GF8-033928 = February 1997 according to Subaru Japan.

And as for the dents on the undercarriage, the inspector who works at the yard did not send me any notes on this so likely not an issue. I have instructed him to get some close ups of these areas though just in case and will add those to the photobucket album soon.
