I just found out because of G-TECH and VR4much? that the EJ20K and EJ20G radiators are NOT the same. This is important to remember if you need to buy a radiator.
*EJ20G radiator is the same as 90-94 Legacy BC5 Turbo Sport and will fit. but this same radiator WILL NOT fit an EJ20K. *EJ20K radiator seems to be the same as other North American GC8 (or GM6 technically I think) Impreza's from 93-00. If someone can confirm for 100% the actual model that is compatible that would be great. http://www.ebay.ca/itm/92-00-SUBARU-...item231916cc11 dptmotorsport make one that G-TECH/VR4much confirms fits the K (note their fitment guide is not correct as they state 92-2000 GC8 WRX) |

I don't know if they are different or not, but I just installed that exact DPT aluminum radiator in my 1993 GC8A... Fitment was a breeze. Thought you should know. I made a post about it on the WSC forums. I'd post the link, but I'm not at 10 posts yet... Just go there and look in the JDM section for a post titled "Thermostat and gasket".
I'm pretty sure the early USDM Impreza's radiator has a rad cap on the rad, whereas my rad cap is on the expansion/header tank. Hope this helps. |

So the DPT radiator fit fine in my STI EJ20G the only thing I can complain about it the the side closer to the battery is a little in the way of the rad so it sits a little crooked(right side is higher by about 2 mm then the left side) but both mounts fit fine. A way to fix this would be to grind the right mount hole a little so the right side sits away from the frame.

Okay so reading into this more.
If the EJ20k uses the standard Impreza RS (GM6) radiator, the Mishimoto radiator is not the same. EJ20k oem radiator does not have a cap on the top of the rad, the Mishimoto does. |

My car is v3 sti with ej20k. I got stock turbo legacy rad in it at the moment. And i ordered koyo turbo legacy rad and it looks the same, direct fit but bigger...
Oh and if the rad has a cap on it its not for the turbo model... Because for turbo you have to have the expansion tank so that the turbo cools down after you turned off the car.. Last edited by Daniils : 02-10-2013 at 08:11 AM. |

See thats why I'm thinking G-tech had problems with his rad fitting is that it was for a non-turbo Legacy. thus, did not fit.
Daniils where did you order your Koyo from? |

210$+shipping took about 8 days to get, worth every penny. |

This thread has some good info on radiator fitment.
I hope the Koyo rad works out well for you. Apparently, a number of our members have had problems though... http://forums.jdmvip.com/Koyo_Radiat...eedback-4422-t

for that price, even if it lasts a 1.5 years is worth it. My scooby is a weekend warrior so I bet its going to last me a while. And i need that extra cooling for this summer.
