Private car inspection in Japan?

Anyone know of any companies, places, or people that offer private inspections in Japan?

Looking at this car which is in the Nagoya region, so this is about a few hours away from Tokyo.


Private dealer is selling the car. Salesman speaks poor English... and we not fully confident everything is fine with the car. My friend wants to purchase it.
It's a R33 GTR and engine looks a bit neglected... but its a really good price. Dealer says mechanic checked it all out and its all good though.


He just wants someone to check it out possibley, or he'll just have to take a risk and hope it's all good.

Yes tell your buddy if he can't find anyone to check it, to skip it!

He sent me 35 detailed pictures of the car all around. Visually we know what it is. Just mechanically speaking. I wrote him like half a paragraph and he says:

yes mechanic check engine good

Sounds like a a Canadian dealer, though you'll be lucky to get 3 photos and not 35.

Most of the cars I've bought from Japan came with two blurry postage stamp photos and about an 80% accurate auction sheet.

The fact you got 35 pics is actually pretty good.

Unless you are dealing with a specialized exporter like some of the guys on this forum (transplanted Canadians or Aussies who speak English as a first language), that's about all I've ever got.
