Hey folks, so my clutch blew just a few days before New Years 2015 after around 169k km, one year of ownership for myself (around 6k of driving).
I ended up sourcing all the replacement parts...
Good thread as I'm finally going to get my passport renewed and thinking of a road trip down to Portland in the next few months. I've never had any trouble with the VPD here so far.
If you need a shop in Vancouver, PM me and I'll forward you the info.
Just make sure your headlights are DOT approved and that you have DRLs installed.
Aside from that, I just renewed my...
I drive home from work late at night / early morning:
PEOPLE WHO DON'T TURN ON THEIR LIGHTS!!!! (most likely thinking that their car has lights that turn on automatically when dark).
I'm sick...
Working :(
Car is doing great. I think my calipers are problem free after I worked on them, but the wear pattern is making me second guess my work. Ive got no immediate plans for any work on my car except for...

Aww man, I can't believe I missed this post due to negligence. I haven't frequented these forums for a while since I'm not really doing anything to my car except driving it. I went to the RevScene...
I'm 31yrs of age and registered my GT-Four a couple months ago. It's my first car ever, and my first car registered here in BC. With my 5yrs of prior accident-free driving record from Ontario on...
Haha, glad you guys replied.
I actually found out that my car has a stock oil catcher, so installing this would have been redundant. So this contraption has been sitting on my garage workbench all...
I always have to climb over my passenger seat when using the parking garage by my work on the weekends. :)

After the many problems I encountered, I finally passed today.
I was worried about my Kouki tail lights (non Dot stamped), but they did not...
I actually bought this car in a private sale from a Mexican man in Calgary. Never actually met him in person either. It was his non-english speaking brother whom handled the sale when I got there.

I'm down for a review.
Unfortunately, I broke my replacement headlight that came in the mail today 60 seconds after I opened the box, so it'll be another week or so before I get another...

I called OK Tire yesterday as I knew my new wheels, tires, and replacement headlight were going to arrive today, and I asked whether I'd get charged for re-inspection.
My thoughts on this is that...
I believe the clearance has to be 6"-7" or so, or no lower than your rims.
Nope.
I did a lens swap so that I could keep the accent light, as well as get DOT approval.
Unfortunately though, I've had to replace all the major lights on the exterior But the fogs and the...
Ok tire will definitely check for either DOT or E-code lights, as well as DRLs. They asked me whether I had those issues fixed before I made my appointment when I told them my car was JDM.
Call up OK Tire. I just had them inspect my car this past Tuesday. $89, and they didn't push any service onto me for the repairs. I went to the Kingsway/Victoria st lcation.

Just a quick update on my finalized result.
I wired my kit up as stated in my post above, but added an inline fuse between the battery and the #30 terminal. As for the ACC power, I fished a wire...
So I finally had my inspection today, and I'll recap it for y'all.
First off, there were previous suggestions to get the inspection done at MFRT.
- $200 for inspection fee
- knowledgeable of JDM...
The kit that I bought, from eBay, is a no-name brand. Clearly a HID harness that's been repurposed for DRL use via a sticker. $17 or so.
