    Attempt number 2!

So I have said it a couple times on this forum so far, but this is how the story goes. I bought my FD from William at JDM Connection back in December of 06, and waited until september of 07 for it to be legal to come over. When she arrived she was completely stock minus the axle back exhaust which was just a glorified fart can. Way to damn noisy!
I drove the car for less then 200km in 07 and brought her over to my builders house (BSC Motorsports) so that some extensive modifications could be done.
My original budget was 10k. That was supposed to give me a rebuilt engine and a single turbo setup. Unfortunately I get way to carried away when it comes to spending on cars...

Heres how she arrived in 07 stock

The tear down began before the end of the year
Emissions rats nest removed, AC, Air pump, ABS removed. Coils relocated and Proportioning valve in place

    Lots of parts ordered
Greddy T78 Turbo (pic is beside my flywheel )

    3.5" Downpipe material

    850 &1600cc injectors

    Aeromotive FPR

    Aeromotive A1000 Fuel Pump

    Fuel pressure gauge

Power FC + Commander and power FC boost control kit

Dual gauge pod, boost and oil pressure gauges

    Momo Shift knob and boot

PLX R-500 (AFR, EGT, Knock and datalogging)

    KG parts Fuel Rail

    Red top

Tial 44mm wastegate (now running a Synapse 50mm)

    Intercooler and piping

Greddy Elbow and Greddy RS BOV

    Spec Stage 3+ Clutch

Other parts I didn't get pics of are:
stainless steel braided lines for fuel and oil return
    Greddy Catch can
    Racing beat resonator
    Vibrant Cat
    crap load of v-bands
    Manifold piping and flange

Very Agressive street port. Sounds like I have a big lumpy cam when it idles

After all the parts arrived it was time to build and fab

Fart Can has been changed to a flowmaster muffler with a 3inch tip

After all was done, the FD went off to paint, and then the Dyno

At the dyno she made 447whp and 365ftlbs running 15psi but only hitting 6k rpm. I was having some crazy ignition break-up.
The problem was solved with changing the spark plugs from NGK platinums to Denso Iridiums. We took the car out for some street tuning on back roads. Unfortunately the 44mm wastegate didn't hold the boost at 15psi and it spiked to 19psi and boom went the engine.
The engine was rebuilt again and the Wastegate was changed to a 50mm Synapse.

That was pretty much the end of the 08 season. In 09 I put less then 2k km's on the car. It was time to save for a house. Now that I bought a house I have began putting money back into parts.

Things I don't have pics of yet:
    Garfinkle air pump delete pulley
    MSD 6AL
    Cooling mist alcohol injection kit
    99 spec front bumper
    99 spec rear spoiler

parts I do have pics of:
    cwest sleek headlight kit

    Scoot style CF Hood

    Megan Coilovers

I'll put up some pics when the latest stuff is installed (hopefully within the next few weeks) and when I get some new numbers. I'm aiming for 600-650whp range. Shouldn't be too much of an issue, but Im sure Ill go through another engine in the process.
The current paint job needs to go as well, but that won't be happening as I have an engagement ring to buy in the near future

So not this past weekend, but the weekend before we were able to get the Garfinkle air pump delete pulley and the CF hood on. With the new pulley there is absolutely no slippage of belts at all, and this might have had something to do with the ignition breakup I was having before the last engine blew.
    (sorry about the cell pics)

I'm going to make a little video of the FD when I get it back from the lights and suspension being installed
