This thread is starting to make me rethink my 'best go with a Subaru for my first JDM' strategy. Especially since I saw a pretty swank 735i with 35,000 kms pop up on the auction. I'm thinking family car with a schwack o style is not a bad way to start, since I'll need two cars inside a year. But still nervous about reported problems and trips to the shop for electrical problems, etc. I really don't know what to do. I need some convincing!
Go drive a WRX then go drive a BMW, decision will be easy then!

7-series though, wouldn't touch that. Especially an E38. If you fix your beemer by taking it to a shop, then the swank's just not worth it.
