One of the great things about the internet is how you can now get (almost) real time access to the major Japanese Car Auctions in one system.
This means that you can research the market from the past sales database, view listings with auction house reports a day or so prior to the auction and verify the auction result and sale price online.
It also means you can do everything in your own time zone and don't have to rely on a phone call from your man in Japan in the middle of the night.
There are now several third party systems out there, such as:
RunX
http://jpcenter.ru/?lang=en
Nihon Cars
http://test.nihoncars.com/cars/
JUMVEA
http://jadl.jumvea.or.jp/index.phtml?p=project
etc.
Exporters who use the systems can modify the header graphics etc. to match the look and feel of their own website, but most of the user interface usually remains the same, so it doesn't take a lot of detective work to see which exporter is using which system.
If you've used some of these systems which are the best ones? What features do you like and dislike? What features would you like but can't find in the existing systems?
