Yep......Soren, I can confirm............not only are they rare but truck my days, they are quick and a superb package. It took "BMW" a few years to catch on….. put a V8 in a small body BMW (E36) and what a machine you get. And for the sound of the V8……did that sound really come from that BMW……oh ya baby.
Customers car, got the longest test drive with a smile. In storage at my office……will be getting another test drive shortly……. just need to convince the customer that it is a good idea that I take the old girl around the block at least a couple times a week, we do not want to get flat spots on the tyres from it sitting......
And there is defiantly a V8 under the bonnet...
For me personally……… in the 90's it has to be the Escort Cosworth…. yeh yeh….I know I'm different…….. no replying to this either…..
They are not the best looking Euro (Lotus wins that in my eyes) in the world compared to what is out there nor the quickest (in stock form).
But way do I like them…… well, they are easy to extract BHP from and defiantly leave a smile on your face, you can drive 500km's and not see another on the road, they are in reach (cost) of the average buyer and best of all, Mr Clarkson likes them too….., not sure if that is a good or bad thing…

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about Cossies!! They are awesome, and yeah i would have one over a WRX or EVO, just my opinion, haha.
And this mention of the B8 4.6 Alpina almost made me forget one of my other faves and pretty rare too. W202 chassis C55 AMG Benz!! Im working on buying one for a guy so ill let you know how it is if i pick one up!
