    Anyone know what the Type M is for and what it means and the history behind it?

    I dont know what the Type M stands for..

    however i do know it means Extra Options..
    Type M Bumper and Side Skirts
    Front Drop Down Spoiler

    Maybe that is the definition right there, but I wonder if M itself has an actual meaning or if it's just that it has extra features.

    The GTS-T Type M included larger five-stud 16 in wheels, four piston front calipers and twin piston rears

    Hmmm that is the best one I've heard yet. I wonder why no one really knows for sure.

    Better brakes, bigger rims w/ 5 studs, and an aero kit.

    I think there were a few little differences with the interior? Maybe I'm thinking something else...but I think there were a few other subtle differences.

    All I know is that the Type M had more features like you guys said, compared to non Type M, but no one has been able figure out what the M means for sure.

    I'm just curious that's all.
