Who in Canada is waiting for these to be legal for import?

I think Braden probably is. DC2 is a better choice though. Only plus is less chance of theft.

I'm patiently waiting for the EK9 and will promptly sell my GC8 if necessary to buy one.

FtGF, what makes you say the DC2 is a better choice?

More power at about the same weight and shorter wheelbase spring to mind.

Civic for utility though, two sets of wheels fit in that hatch wit no sweat. Try that with an Integra!

Haha. Until I seen the price of them. A civic hatch with a 1.6L 4cyl isn't worth that amount of money to me and never will be.

DC2 FTW. Cheaper, and moar power. Plus they look better.

wow. They are bloody expensive. Cheapest one (not R Grade) in the last 3 months would land in Canada for about 7000.00 and was a grade 3C

^ This one would land over 15 grand! holy. Whole lotta R grades on these too. I think you'll be looking around 10 grand to get one landed at this point. If they are popular in a couple years, the cost will go up too. (could go down as they get older though? Who knows? Hasn't happened with the JZX100's though

Yup these Honda's just hold their value. These cars are little beasts though and Honda can build one hell of an engine.

what would it be worth here? I get the impression that Honda (EDIT) Civic guys don't generally have money, and would think a car like that would be worth 7 to 9 thou tops. ideas?

It's not really worth it because you could build something better for around the same money. If you want a nice clean original with no rust it would be worth it. Also there is guys with built s2000s and NSXs with tons of money and guys with rusted out civics goes either way. The same with the Subaru crowd there is $10,000 gcs and there is built GD and GR STis in the $75,000-$100,000 range.
