Strange idle problem. Hope you get it sorted soon!

I would try cleaning your idle air control valve. I have read about 1jz's doing this when the iacv gets dirty or goes bad.

Look it up on Supramania, it'll have a better description on there.

New problem... I have cleaned out the iacv (idle air control valve) and put it back in but now it won't start it won't even crank over but it has full power to everything else and a fully charged battery.. any suggestions?

did you disconnect the battery when you did this? make sure those terminals are really excellent on there, if they move at all you can get power to the dash but not enough amps to crank the battery. Either hammer them on, get an assitant to hold them tight or rotate them while you try to crank.
new ones are like 7$ at canadian tire.
Or your starter solonoid is being a monkey, in which case if you smack it with a hammer, or 2x4 it can reset its position and let it fire.

I'm gonna go with terminals though, all my toyotas I've had to replace em.

Could be as simple as a blown fuse.

Did you get a new gasket for the iacv when you took it off? They can leak if you reuse them.
