Default Increase fuel prices may affect Japanese car import

Sri Lanka fuel price increase tonight , this recorded highest price will affect Japanese car import. Indian cars are known for better fuel consumption compare to cars from Japan. Fuel consumption is one factor for people to go to small Indian cars.

Fuel here in Halifax is 1.327/L

As far as the cars being exported most likely only affect the ones going into Sri Lanka. Wouldn't people rather go with small Japanese vehicles that are fuel efficient rather then the Indian ones?

What's fuel cost at the pumps there in Sri Lanka?
