Is it normal if you hit the undercoat in the wheel well with the end handle of a breaker bar that it would cause a nick in the undercoat right down to the paint?

It didn't do so well in the winter, much of the underbody stuff rubbed off on hard packed snow.

It seems the stuff sprayed in the wheel wells did pretty well.

There is a great place in coquitlam called line-x that does bed liners and they are very serious about coating. I just had a gas tank for my 86 life done by them. Turned out beautiful.
