    Would not fit into the caliper. The tabs on the pad were different.

    Anyone know if the Brake Hoses are the same as the USDM legacies? If not does anyone have information on part number?

    Just wanted to update this thread with some additional info;

    I've got a 1997 GT-B Limited and today installed the calipers and rotors from a 2001 outback 2.5L
    Pictured below are the brakes side by side and you'll see they are identical, unless at some point since it arrived in Canada the brakes were changed.
    Rotors are both 25mm thick

    Hopefully this helps finding parts for someone else.
    Cheers

    (Rusty caliper is the original GT-B)

    Front brakes/ rotors same as a 1998+ SF5 forester/North American Forester.

    Rear pads/ rotors same as a north american 98+ Legacy.

    I'm using the 98 forester pads/rotors (Front) on both my 97 JDM SF5 and my 98 JDM Legacy BH5

    An excellent means of measuring is to cobble a makeshift caliper (measuring kind) from a piece of copper tubing. Bend it into a large "U" and just keep adjusting the size of the opening until it just barely scrapes the outside of the rotor.

    Then measure your makeshift copper tubing caliper. This is what I did to measure without taking the wheel off.
