Auctions off for the New Year

Now that its November, I just want to give a pre-warning about when the auction holidays are. Most auctions will be off from December 28th to January 4th, 2013.

There may be a few auctions open either on the 28th or January 4th. Auctions take at least 5 business days off during their "New Years" holiday.

The end of December also means that shipping schedules come into play during the holiday. The shipping agents also take at least 3 business days off. This delays receiving BLs or paying for shipping. Please make sure your exporter is aware of this, as we've seen forum members post about problems they have experienced during the New Years holidays.

Are you guys open to take bids on cars during these kinds of holidays? A lot of times some nice cars can be had for a reasonable price with low-bidding competition (at least from some examples I've seen).

I have no plans, and actually will be watching for those open auctions. I've bought a few vehicles during the 'off' days at awesome prices. Also, the week before the New Years is a good time to buy.
