Default I am planning to get a 97' JDM S13 OOP question

    Hi there,
Just wondering if anyone know what parts will help my future 97' S13 to pass OOP ?

Is USDM 240 parts fit ?

Any clues ? Wanna find out more info before I find one to import.

    Thanks. Any input helps.

    The biggest thing is to get your hands on a good quality one. the oop inspection is fairly in depth, however it focuses on a few main things;
    -brakes
    -suspension, tie-rods etc
    -general body/frame condition
-all the lights need to be working and DOT approoved
-daytime running lights if the tech is a stickler
-make sure the seatbelts all function properly and rool back up/lock
-windows need to be in good condition
all safety items need to function

it all comes down to the tech doing the inspection, theoretically he can fail you for a dried/cracked exhaust hanger.

What province ? S13's are so plentiful for parts both OEM and aftermarket you'll never have to worry about parts. They share parts with many other Nissan's we had here and I have never heard of someone not being able to get parts locally in the past. I used to import a lot of them!

You are correct. Unfortunately, some years are not available in USDM.

FYI, for those that might like to know.

The 180SX was one of the very rare cars ever manufactured that, after the last year of production, was brought back for two more production runs without any major changes. It was re-ran in 95-96 and and 97-98.

Apparently, the demand for the S13 hatchback was so high that Nissan restarted production while the coupe (S14) started as a new generation car.

A true testament that customer demand and desire can shape the market place.
