my truck arrived May 4th, I'm going through JDMConnection, so I got my arrival notice/ power of attorney form today to allow permission for him to act on my behalf to get my vehicle through customs clearance and port release.
I know I cant go into port to collect, but do they have an onsite tow we can pay to bring it out, or do I have to arrange it beforehand with an authorized company? would it be better to pay to his contract tow company and pick up at their yard in Surrey?
I've got a 98 Pajero Mini being cleared, just trying to sort out best way to bring her home, as I have to come over from the Island

They do not have an onsite tow. I PMed you though with the company I went with a few times now, he has very good rates. and does fairly high end stuff as well.

That's not bad, we are the opposite, you waited longer for the Inbond but I am still waiting on the Port Auth since Thursday the 5th . The thing about the storage fees is that unfortunately the time count starts from the moment the vehicle arrives but normally there is plenty of time of Inbond vs free storage (though this time I am getting anxious as it seems they are a bit slower).

Nice, congrats on the Accord Wagon! Please make us a pic thread of the Accord Wagon. I think you could VIP it if you get a nice kit, drop and some rims !

Truth be told, my vessel left Kawasaki on Mar 18, and arrived in Delta on Apr 9, Arrival Notice on Apr 12. My buddy couldn't get the customs done until Apr 22 lol and I booked pickup on Apr 26 (day's notice).

It's now on a train headed to Toronto via Livingston Intl!

Hey guys need you help. I purchased a car many years ago and it was really smooth the transaction. This time not so much. The boat my car arrived arrived at the doc last Friday. I’m just waiting for it to clear so I can pick it up. My question is who knows anyone that can tow it out the port so I can just grab it. As I’ve read that it has to be specific people. Pms would be much appreciated or a reply here as well. Thanks

Wow this is cool, this will partially set me at ease Okay, so one can only pick up using a tow truck now. Good to know. Silly Question, if you're an out of towner, do they just tow it out of the Yard for you, and then, hopefully no Mechanical issues, and you can fire it up there, and be one your way (Temp Insurance and registration?)

Yes, this is what I did back in May, and will do again in Oct/ Nov when my Alphard arrives, as I'm from Victoria, I walked on the ferry, took an Uber to the dock, and had the tow truck pull it out, and across the street to the theater parking lot, and from there got her going, and started my trip home driving it
