Default 5 speed versus 6 speed

Hey I am asking this for a friend. He recently picked up a 95 supra car was a na but he is putting a single turbo on it. What would the be benifits of doing the 6 speed swap. Car has the 5 in I currently.

The 6spd is a lot stronger. I assume his 5spd is a w58. His 5spd would most likely be strong enough unless your buddy is planning on making a fair bit of power. He could also upgrade his 5spd to an R154 which would be a fair bit stronger then his current 5spd. That's another option that's a lot more affordable.

I didn't know the NA models used a different transmission than R154 until SpeedStick said it. I think he's right though but it depends on how much power your friend wants to make.

I would start out with reasonable amounts of power and see how it handles it. If he wants to make huge power then I would recommend the 6-speed swap. My thinking is why bother swapping to R154 when you could get the 6-speed?
