EVO is looking good Augustine and now we know why the the heatshield rusts with a snow coated engine
This explains how the front engine mounts rusted through in some I have seen.

Thanks, it's been great so far. No problems at all. Yea there's a lot of gaps in that front end.

Hey everyone, I had a nice weather day this weekend so I decided to tackle the AEM Wideband gauge install. Got it all wired up and routed the sensors with no issues. The gauge works well and has numerous settings and logging capabilities when connected to my laptop.

Based on a few pulls I did after the install. I'm boosting 19psi and 11.5 AFR at WOT in 3rd and 4th.

Thanks! I've seen some good work on your car as well.

I'm just looking forward to dropping in the GrimmSpeed EBCS and getting a tune this summer now.

I still haven't heard of any Canadian's with JDM Evo's getting tunes.

Yeah please post about the tune and your experience, the guys in the UK seem to tune all the time with great results but they have a really established scene for these cars. Here its sort of an unknown....

Will Do! I think there are some people in the Alberta area with JDM Evo's that are trying to get a tune as well.

Monty, I'm looking at getting a dyno tune done at Racing Greed in Vancouver, sounds like they have the software and capability. I'm just waiting for an email back from Evoscan to be sure it's possible. I'll update if it all goes through and how the experience is.

Sweet! That will be awesome. It's nice having a legitimate dyno and tuner near you eh. I will keep my eyes open for updates on your thread. How'd the dipping turn out?

    Update:

I registered for the High Performance Racing School in Winnipeg and took the Evo V on the track! It was a blast, extremely fast and grippy. I also got my racing license.

The picture of my tire destroyed is due to an under inflated tire, so be aware and inflate your tires to 45-50 PSI for track use.

Here's a video for those of you interested and some photos too.
