1998 Subaru Forester S/Tb Questions

I'm looking into buying my first JDM through Brian at B-Pro and one of the cars I'm looking at is a '98 Forester S/Tb. Since I am new to JDM's I thought I would find out a little bit more about these cars.

Are there any common issues with these cars or things I should know about before purchasing one?

Any information regarding S/Tb's would be great!

One of the issues I had on my forester was the rear wheel bearings. Subaru tried using a spherical bearing in the sf5 and it didn't last all that long. Apparently 120-150k is fairly average for the life of these components. It's a bit of an expense to consider when shopping for one, but I can say other than those bearings going my forester has been great.

Also, if you can find a type A I recommend it. It's no more performance, but the leather and the features are nice.
