Worldwide Subaru Recall Information (JDM included)

A lot of people have asked about this over the years and at least we have one for Subaru now to check JDM recalls!

I believe this is worldwide but for our purposes I can confirm it works on JDM chassis #'s. Do keep in mind that known faults such as the BE5/BH5 Legacy B4 Turbo Center diff problem was apparently not recalled so nothing will show or help in this case. It is a bit scary but apparently a lot of models in that era had the possibility of a leaky gas tank due to high pressure in some situations!

Very useful tool especially the part youul mentioned about noting if the car was fixed under the recall.

So, I gather this is specifically just to check on the Takata airbag recall... and not for recalls in general?

It is for all recalls I checked some other models of Subaru and they had recalls relating to possible leaking gas tank etc.. But what I noted is things we know are issues such as the Legacy BH5/BE5 models 5MT bad center diff was never recalled etc..
