2000 Legacy B4 RSK Build Help

Hey! New to the forum but have some random questions about my newly imported 2000 Legacy B4 RSK. It has an EJ206 Sequential Turbo. I recently took it to a performance shop and I told them I wanted to aim for 400-500 WHP. They said that the EJ I have is a weaker one and would not take it. They suggested I go 320-350 max. Said they would do STI injectors, downpipe and full exhaust, tune with mechanical boost controller. If i wanted to do mapping, I'd have to do a standalone ecu which would be $3000+ just for that.

I am wondering if anyone here has one and have been able to do a build to get more out of it reliably as a daily driver. Also, any information or suggestions on what potential this car has and what I could do with would be amazing! I imported it here to the US. I have tried youtube and many other sites. Information on building one of these is apparently rare from the digging I did.

I don't know of any max numbers but EJ206 is a pretty good engine IMHO but I agree with the shop that on stock internals 400-500 WHP is not going to happen or at least not for long! Perhaps 350-400CHP tops with good tuning could be doable is my guess.

Please let us know how it goes and get us some pics of this classic B4 RSK!
