Has anyone dealt with these guys? I'm looking to import a Mitsubishi Delica to Halifax, NS. Their website tends to have more/better pictures of cars i've found on other sites or auction lists. Most of their testimonials are one-liners with broken english.
Thanks,
Ross.

I personally have not but maybe other members can chime in. If you are interested in a car from Japan and would like to import one, I highly suggest going through us directly or one of our reputable sponsors.
Sometimes it isn't worth the risk dealing with companies that are not well known. Hope that helps, and welcome to JDMVIP!

motoyen, this thread would be much more helpful if you could actually give details. I am not doubting you but know myself when I read reviews and want to make a decision, if it is a one liner review "Bad, Stay Away" it makes me think it may be fake, a misunderstanding just a paid anti-competitive post.
Looking forward to see more about your cars and also what happened with your experience as what you describe is not the first time I've heard it, but with that said, I never use those companies so can't personally relate.

I paid them to examine the car and they told me everything was ok. I told them it's very important that the car be mechanically ok because I have to travel by ferry to the port city where I'm picking it up and I don't want to have any issues on the long drive home.
15 minutes into my drive home the temperature shoots through the roof and I immediately pull over on the side of the highway. I open the hood and there's radiator fluid spilling out everywhere.
So I'm stuck on the side of the highway, in a city I'm not familiar with and with no idea on where I can find a local mechanic.
I emailed Yoshi at cars from Japan at to ask about the condition of the car and why they didn't tell me there's a huge ass hole in the rad and all he did was send me the report that I received perviously. This is typical Japanese mentality. They don't have any ability to make a decision or problem solve so they just resort to paperwork.
I finally managed to get it to towed to a local mechanic who sourced a new rad from a WRX and got me on my way the next day. Tow cost me $240, new rad + labour was around $700 and a night at a hotel was around $200.
The response from was, oh well here's the report. Which btw never mentioned the hole in the radiator.
Also did I mention that I had to wait an extra month to get the car delivered. They neglected to put my car on the boat so it had sit in the compound for another month before it could be shipped. Overall my experience with them was very sloppy and unprofessional.

Sorry to hear, that is quite a bad experience and is one reason why I recommend to never buy most companies "stock cars". A lot of times they are stock that was returned from auction or with other running issues that wouldn't be easily saleable to anyone who knew the issues. Like you said, it is unfortunately quite common in Japan!
That is very helpful and now paints an accurate picture motoyen! You've done a great service to our members and people searching. I believe this is one of the few public complaints about them but I've found that many Exporters have gone for years or more with few if little to any public complaints, which is why I started this forum.
Do you still have the WRX and which version was it?
